LookupHound aggregates information from publicly available records, telephone directories, and other third-party data sources — including consumer indexes, phone directories, and address databases. The information is not collected from our users; it is compiled from external public sources.
Free lookups return basic information for any valid U.S. phone number. Premium lookups, available to paid subscribers, return enhanced subscriber information that may include names, addresses, and other publicly available data.
Because this information comes from public records and third-party sources, it may sometimes be incomplete, outdated, or contain errors. We do not independently verify each record, and search results should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any decision.
If your phone number appears in our search results and you'd like it removed, you can submit a removal request through our self-service opt-out page at lookuphound.com/opt-out.
The process:
Once removed, the number will not reappear in our results.
Please note: this process removes the phone number from LookupHound's own search results. We are unable to remove information about you from databases operated by third parties.
If you'd prefer to submit a removal request by email, you can also write to support@lookuphound.com with the phone number you want removed and your full name.
No. Searches conducted through LookupHound are confidential, and the person whose number you look up is not notified, contacted, or alerted in any way.
If you'd like to fully delete your LookupHound membership and remove your account information from our records, please email support@lookuphound.com from the email address associated with your account and request deletion. We'll process the request within a reasonable timeframe.
Account deletion is different from cancellation. If you simply want to cancel your membership, you can cancel anytime through your account page at lookuphound.com/account — see 'How do I cancel my subscription?' above. Cancellation stops your subscription so you're not billed again.
Account deletion is also different from removing your phone number from LookupHound search results. If your concern is that your own phone number appears in our directory, please visit our opt-out page.
Many requests can be managed at lookuphound.com/account or via chat on this page. If you still need help, you can reach LookupHound Customer Care through any of the following:

Free lookups return basic information for any valid U.S. phone number — no account required. Premium lookups, available with a paid subscription, return enhanced subscriber information that may include names, addresses, and other publicly available data. Free lookups do not return names.
Not every phone number has matching information in our data sources. Numbers may be too new, unlisted, prepaid, or otherwise absent from the public records we aggregate. When this happens, the search still counts as completed. We continue to refresh our data, so trying again later may yield different results.
No. LookupHound only returns information from publicly available records and third-party data sources. We do not access private text messages, call logs, GPS data, real-time location, social media accounts, or any private communications. We are not a tracking service.
